Condolences

As an empathetic human being, but especially as an elementary school teacher myself, my thoughts are with those affected by the horrific events that took place Friday in Newtown, Connecticut.  Children should be able to go to school and feel safe and protected for the day, it breaks my heart that someone could be so far gone that they could do this to elementary school children and the school staff who cares for them each day.  Breaks my heart into many pieces.  I am so sorry that this is the new reality for these families and children, that now they have to pick up the pieces and come to terms with an event like this.  My condolences for those who have suffered losses, and to those who will now have a long road ahead before they can sleep soundly and live without fear following such an emotional trauma.  This should never, ever, ever have happened. :-(
