I Made THIS Weekend Matter

This weekend, I walked.

I walked for 34 kilometres on Saturday, it took eight and a half hours.

I walked for 26 kilometres on Sunday, it took eight hours.

Quin and I raised $4573 for The Campbell Family Institute at Princess Margaret Hospital, a top five cancer research centre WORLDWIDE.

We walked with over 4000 people.  Together, we raised over $9.1 million.

We walked though we don't have cancer.  We walked because one day? We might.

We walked though our family members don't have cancer.  We walked because one day? They might.

We walked though our friends don't have cancer.  We walked because one day?  They might.

We walked because YOU don't, or do, or might have cancer.  We walked because YOUR family members don't, or do, or might have cancer.  We walked because YOUR friends don't, or do, or might have cancer.

We walked, because whatever happens in our future and whatever happens NOW, we want cancer treatment innovation and a CURE in our lifetime.  We DO NOT want cancer to be a death sentence.  We DO NOT want ANYONE to go through the physical pain of chemo and radiation, only to hear "it didn't work".

We walked, because we believe in our hearts that the amazing research team at the Princess Margaret Hospital will conquer cancer in our lifetime.

This weekend, I walked.

One day, I hope you might too.
